The word "deserve" needs to struck from our vocabulary immediately and add to it "entitlement" because it so interrupts God's will for each of us!

I think I agree-you mean that we don't "deserve" anything but that it is by the grace of God that we have anything or anyone, right? Just as we are not "entitled". You are saying they are in the same vein, correct?
ME at 11:47am May 31
Yes same vein. We have everything by Grace. Nicely pointed out my friend. We can earn nothing in this life!

I think my friend who works at McDonald's earning 7 bucks an hour would love to hear that it is gods will he lives in poverty.

There is always somebody with less than you that has more than enough, and someone with more who is still ungrateful. It seems to me that if one can start from a place of feeling grateful and blessed for what they have, it helps keep things in perspective. I was not referring to "God's will". I don't think God cares much about whether I make $7, $70 or $700 an hour. I think he cares about what I do with my situation and how I love other people. Maybe the person who makes $70 or $700 an hour should choose to help the person who makes $7, or maybe the person who makes $7 can help the others remember what is really important. Not to mention the ones who make 7 cents an hour.

Found this definition: Grace= undeserved favor, Gods approval.
DS at 7:23pm May 31
For me this is the "good news".

This is my story of how Jesus continues to rescue me from myself. I am learning to put Him first. If you have found this blog, we are some how connected and it is my prayer it points you to Him. Glory be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen

EGO
Ego is not an assistant to getting what you want/need or to who you really are deep down inside. Your God given talents are who your heart/soul really is about or what it quests for! Stop flexing, bragging, lying, being deceitful, manipulating because in a very short time you will be found out for what you really are! Look, Look, and look at who you really are. Have you lost touch with your heart? That true self.
Definition of PRIDE: a high or inordinate opinion of one's own dignity, importance, merit, or superiority, whether as cherished in the mind or as displayed in bearing, conduct, etc.
Antonyms 1. humility
I will bet that pride has something to do with this disconnect. This pride driven system that our ego relies on to protect it's false self causes many of personal issues and failures which lead to deep wounds. I can trace issues of financial stress, divorce, and struggles with friends over this pride issue. I would venture to say most of my friends do not think I am at all egotistical. I would hate to be so full of pride as a true egomaniac. We all battle with pride to some degree. Looking down on anyone or anything is an indication of ego/pride.
We cannot love someone or even ourselves if we look down upon threw the veil of pride. I aim to be humble, God will you help with this?
